The Town of Vernon is accepting applications for the position of TOWN PLANNER. Duties include providing professional planning services in the areas of land use, zoning, housing, transportation, and related municipal planning areas, including providing support and advice to planning commissions, and administering Federal and State grants. Vernon has a population of about 29,000 and is located in north central Connecticut, near the University of Connecticut in Storrs. The salary range is $62,426.00 to 79,424.00 with an excellent fringe benefit package.

Requires a Master Degree in city or regional planning or a closely related field, and four years of experience as an urban or regional planner with two years of supervisory experi-ience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
